Hi, I don't know if anyone even sees this blog any more, but I felt like I should comment here.
On May 23rd, 2013, (the date of the pictures I took) I discovered this swing with my friend while we were university students here exploring the park. Over the next several years, I returned to this same tree to sit on it, as it was a pretty awesome spot to just chill out.
Last time I was here with the swing was 2 or 3 years ago, and the tree trunk was looking pretty rickety. Yesterday I went back to this spot and, like I expected the trunk had fallen down into the river, and the swing was nowhere to be found (possibly buried in soot or under ice, as it is partially frozen right now.)
To whoever created these swings, if you're reading this, thanks for doing such a cool thing! I might have to make my own swing at Hickory Hill now... I'll put the link on the side!
We found this swing today running with the Regina Track team. I was the first brave enough to try it. Now I see why you said take off your shoes!
ReplyDeletethis is the coolest thing ever. accidentily stumbled on this while geocaching in the area. I cant wait to find the others.
